11/18 | The Mid-West Fastener Distributors Association (MWFA) recently held their annual scholarship dinner meeting recognizing this year’s scholarship recipients: Congratulations to: Sara Walsh, daughter of Bill Walsh, Product Manager of Brighton-Best Int’l. Miss Walsh is a second year civil engineering student at Villanova University. She hopes to pursue a career in structural engineering, focusing on the design and construction aspects. She is involved on campus as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Special Olympics of Pennsylvania Inclusion Crew, and as an honors peer mentor. Brianna Barile, daughter of Tony Barile, from BBI-Chicago. Miss Barile is a senior at Rolling Meadows High School. Brianna is interested in pursuing elementary education or possibly being a secondary English education teacher. She is thinking about attending Eastern Illinois University in the fall of 2023. She has been bowling for over 10 years and has been on the varsity team in high school for all four years of school with a high game of 278. Along with receiving this scholarship, she was also inducted into National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, and had the opportunity to sit in on a panel and meet Dr. Jill Biden.
